Dr Vicki is a respected caring general practitioner with over 38 years of clinical experience who emphasises lifestyle and preventative medicine, and combines the best of orthodox and integrative medicine such as diet advice, nutritional medicine, acupuncture and hypnosis. She is dedicated and passionate about her patients and her work. Dr Vicki promotes an evidence-based treatment plan to help patients achieve a better quality of life and treat their health condition(s) using a personalised lifestyle approach.

Dr Vicki maintains a healthy lifestyle by eating well, daily exercise in nature, early to bed for a good night sleep, practicing yoga, reducing stress, exposure to the right amount of sunshine and feeling connected to her natural environment. By living a healthy life, Dr Vicki strives to be a true role model for good health, as a teacher and mentor to students and her patients.
Dr Vicki is lead co-author of the popular textbook ‘A Guide to Evidence-based Integrative and Complementary Medicine’, that explores the latest research in lifestyle and integrative medicine for the management of common diseases. Dr Vicki has published well over 150 articles in various publications such as the Medical Journal of Australia. She also wrote regular monthly articles titled Integrative Perspectives for Medical Observer from 1998 till 2019. This popular medical publication was distributed to over 30,000 Australian GPs till it stopped production in 2019.
Recognitions & expertise:
Due to her extensive community services, in June 2016 Dr Vicki was awarded a Member (AM) in the General Division of the Order of Australia for four categories ‘significant service to integrative medicine, to health practitioner standards and regulations, to medical education, and to the environment‘.
In January 2017, Dr Vicki was further awarded an Australia Day Environmental Award by Bayside City Council, for “recognising outstanding and long-term leadership, action, and advocacy for coastal and natural heritage protection in the City of Bayside, and generating community awareness of the value of our Bayside environment.”
In 2014, Dr Vicki received the ACNEM Award in recognition of outstanding service in the field of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine.
In 2007, Dr Vicki was a winner of the AGPAL General Practice Excellence Award (only 20 practices Australia-wide won this prestigious general practice award in 2007).
Due to her expertise and ongoing academic and clinical work, Dr Vicki has received a number of Honorary Fellowship awards – for instance from the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine and the Australian Society of Lifestyle Medicine.
Vicki enjoys public speaking and teaching health professionals such as doctors.
